Proguard is an industry-leading brand of temporary protection materials, owned by Beck.
Established in 1976, we continue to grow from strength to strength by putting our customer’s needs first and providing sustainable solutions on-time, every time.
"To deliver sustainable protection solutions"
With so many contractors on-site at any one time, the fact is that accidents leading to damage to already installed surfaces can be unavoidable…
Taking a few small steps to ensure that those surfaces are protected can make a huge difference to your project. That is where we come in.
Sourcing, developing and delivering sustainable temporary protection solutions, we can help you achieve a smoother running site with less downtime and reduced remedial costs.
Our goal is to help you achieve a “snag-free” project by ensuring that every touch point on every site is covered and protected, hence our slogan…
“To be recognised globally as the market leader
in temporary protection solutions”
Without customers, we don’t have a business. We listen to our customer's needs and respond in a caring and efficient manner.
We are determined to succeed.
Every challenge is an opportunity. We work as a team to provide solutions that benefit all stakeholders. Through hard work and determination, we know that we can be successful.
We take responsibility.
Each of us is accountable for what we do. From the smallest detail to caring for our communities and the environment…. We are responsible.
We are one team.
We work as one – in our teams, partnerships, and with our customers. We respect and value every contribution. Together, we are stronger.
We can trace our origins back to 1976 when as a young salesman selling packaging to stores and merchants, Ralph Dupont came across what was then an innovative new product… recycled refuse sacks.
Not only was a refuse sack a novel idea but the idea of using recycled plastic for this purpose had strong appeal, with the result that Beck Sack company was formed concentrating on selling not only refuse sacks but builders rubble sacks - both made largely of recycled material.
With these products, Beck grew substantially until a move was made to Hereford, where larger premises enabled expanding into supplying temporary protection materials, particularly aimed at the building and refurbishment industries. Once again, use of recycled material was to the fore in the black “Correx®” sheeting, a primary protection product that we supply.
The launch in 2010 of the now well recognised Proguard® brand, along with new purpose-built premises in the Hereford Enterprise zone, has enabled the company to expand greatly and to offer a whole spectrum of temporary protection products while keeping our “green” credentials in mind.
We are now able to offer a collection-for-recycling scheme and are looking ahead to developing new protection products made from environmentally-friendly and recyclable materials.
Delivering sustainable protection solutions… We’ve got it covered.
