How to prevent damage to doors

Doors are frequently on the ‘snagging’ list, so installing cost-effective, easy to use protection products will save you time and money.

Doors can easily be damaged as they are often left in place during a development. Avoid the cost of replacing expensive doors with this simple solution – Proguard Door Sleeves!

What are door sleeves?

Proguard’s semi-translucent plastic sleeves fit any standard size doors and provide cost effective protection from dust, dirt, paint and mortar splashes during building and refurbishment work. Each sleeve is sealed on two sides to slip over the door quickly and easily, allowing it to remain fully operational once the sleeve is in-situ.

They require no additional fixing to hold them in place. This avoids the need for any adhesive tapes which can leave residue upon removal. The cover also provides a surface for fixing any additional protection materials, such as Proguard’s door sized Correx impact protect, without causing damage to veneer doors.

We stock three types of door sleeves:

  1. Fire retardant – where flame retardancy is important. These are sold loose in packs of 10.
  2. LPS 1207 certified fire retardant –  the added security of LPS certification (number: 521a/02). These are sold in rolls of 50.
  3. Custom printed door sleeves – allowing the customer to add their own unique company logo and branding. Minimum order quantities apply.
